How do I collect and return my Thing?

You can collect and return your Thing any time during the opening hours.

All you need is the 6-digit member code from your confirmation email.

Collecting or returning yourself, or asking a friend for help?

Quick Tip: The only thing you need to collect your Thing is your member code sent via email and SMS.

It's absolutely fine for a friend or neighbour to collect your Thing on your behalf!

We just ask members to make sure the person collecting is 18+ and physically capable of transporting the Thing - some of our Things are heavy or bulky.

All you or a friend/neighbour need in order to collect using our self-service kiosk is the 6-digit member code from your reservation confirmation email. That's it! You can also use your email address in a pinch.

Just head to our Library of Things kiosk and you'll see the 'Start here' touch screen ready for your collection or return.
